Respite

wax-crescent.jpg

The waxing crescent (above) was a flicker of life on a bleak, hungover day.

A light in the tunnel on a “why am I here” frigid Duluth day.

“God’s thumb nail,” said a cheerful friend of my holed-up neighbor.

All the negativity in this town makes my days wane, but at least the moon is waxing.
