Show me you’re tougher

The southwest Missouri town of Carthage has an organization for 6-year-olds to compete in ultimate fighting.

What’s next? Conceal and carry permits at age 15?

Father Tommy Bloomer believes his two sons in the “Garage Boys” learn valuable life lessons from the fisticuffs.

“We’re not training them for dog fighting,” Bloomer, a 34-year- old construction contractor, told the Associated Press. “As a parent, I’d much rather have my kids here learning how to defend themselves and getting positive reinforcement than out on the streets.”

Positive reinforcement like, “Kick his ass, Jimmy Bob!”

Whatever happened to youth soccer leagues with yummy orange slices?

  1. Orange slices are for pansies. And the encouragement was probably more like “Git ‘er done, Billy Ray! Go fer his only tooth!”

  2. Ummm…. What do guys get out of this???
