I laughed out loud when I read a tidbit about my BFF Karl Rove, the former chief adviser to Bush, in GQ Magazine.
“He [Rove] has the demeanor of a man who had more power than he’ll ever admit but is never really far from the 9-year-old who once got into a schoolyard fight over, and lost. To a girl.”
Speaking of Nixon, I enjoyed rereading two alliterations speech writers gave to his veep Spiro Agnew on the media:
“Nattering nabobs of negativism,” and “hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history.”
The first phrase was written by William Safire. The second one I’m not sure on, but it could have been Patrick Buchannan.
